When reporters arrived at the workshop of Yongxing Yuantai Applied Materials Company, some silver powders were being refined from a “pool” of the production line via fireless electrolytic separation. “This is 99.999% high-purity silver powder,” introduced Yin Jianfu who is the General Manager of the company. Thanks to the improvement of technology, the high-purity silver manufactured by the company was used for the heat dissipation of aero-engine which is honored as “crown jewels” of Chinese modern industry.

Yongxing county is famous as “silver county of China” and the rare and precious metals industry as gold and silver was used to be prosperous there. But due to higher pressure of economic downturn in domestic and foreign markets, the price of rare and precious meatal kept decreasing, which caused the rare and precious metal industry of Yongxing county to be suffered badly. “Upgrading is the exclusive way for further development,” introduced Yuan Wixiang who is the Secretary of Yongxing County Party Committee. The county took active actions to obtain series favorable policies issued for national sustainable economy pilot, national recycling industrialization base of rare and precious metals, national demonstration city of mineral, comprehensive treatment of heavy metal pollution of Xiangjiang river, and etc. In the meantime, it integrated 129 rare and precious metals enterprises into 27 scaled and group enterprises. Now, they are improved to be series large scale enterprises with the annual output value of 3billion yuan and 5billion yuan.

Furthermore, in order to upgrade the competitiveness of the enterprises, Yongxing county guided the strategic cooperation between enterprises and universities, science and research institutions, and large scale enterprises of the same industry. Yongxin Environment Protection, Xingguang Smelting, Zhongde Group, Yongxing Guiyan, and other companies worked together with some state-owned and famous enterprises as China Recycling Development Co., Ltd., Citic Group, China Minmetals Corporation, and Sino-platinum Group to upgrade its traditional smelting, deep processing, environment protection engineering, and etc. Currently, some engineering on comprehensive recycling of rare and precious metals have been upgraded to the advanced level of China and the world. The comprehensive recovery rate of it is on top place of China. The processing rate for the silver, gold and some other rare and precious metals produced in the county are over 50%.

Yongxing county’s gold and silver industry is being lifted out of the trouble via series measures and is being improved into a new stage. In the first quarter of 2016, the added value of the above scale gold and silver enterprises were amounted to 3.24billion yuan, up 6.7%, accounting for 79.1% of the whole scale industry of Yongxing county.
