The water diversion project of Mangshan Reservoir (Linwu section) is a key construction project in Linwu county of Chenzhou city. The project, which is scheduled to be operational by 2026, will then greatly alleviate the problem of water shortage in the county’s daily life and production, and contribute to the county’s economic development.

The 2.92-kilometer-long tunnel of the project is under construction, with 450 meters completed. It’s expected to be fully connected by the end of the year.
The diversion project mainly includes three parts: the pipeline network of the Linwu section, the tunnel, and the pipeline network of the Yizhang section.
The water supply project draws water from the Mangshan Reservoir in Yizhang county, and then the water flows via pipelines from Tiantang town and Huangsha town in Yizhang county to Nanqiang town and Wushui town in Linwu county before reaching the No.2 water plant in Linwu county.
The total length of the water pipeline is 39.98 kilometers, with a total investment of 710 million yuan.
Once completed, it will benefit 150,000 residents in six areas including Wushui town and Shunfeng town.
