450 flats for resettlement of typhoon-afflicted people in Xingning Town of Zixing City were delivered from April 7 to 8.
The staff were busy handling the relevant procedures for resettled households on the site. The resettled people received keys to their new houses as well as ten gifts, including 300-yuan water fees, 300-yuan electricity fees, one-year TV network fees, cigarette detectors, cooking oil, rice, electric pressure cookers, and blankets.
The centralized resettlement site is the largest one in Zixing City, which can accommodate a total of 650 typhoon-afflicted households in six towns including Bamianshan Yao Township, Zhoumensi Town, Xingning Town, and Bailang Town.
200 flats in the first phase were delivered before the Spring Festival. There are 450 flats in the second phase.
After the Super Typhoon Gaemi, Zixing City has coordinated housing purchase in urban areas, granted monetary subsidies and built houses for the resettlement of disaster victims. 886 were built in Xingning, Zhoumensi, Bamianshan, and Huangcao towns in two phases.
As of now, Zixing City has relocated 5,038 households.
