The 26th International Tourism Exhibition of Hongkong was closed on June 17 in Hongkong Convention and Exhibition Center. It was learned that over 50 natural sceneries and 17 cultural works of Chenzhou sceneries photographic art exhibition will keep being exhibited in Hongkong.

The 26th International Tourism Exhibition of Hongkong attracted 600 exhibitors from 54 countries and areas, which enabled Chenzhou photographic art to take the first step to be international.

Zhou Aiguo, the undersecretary of culture and sports propaganda Hongkong office said: “A photo is the name card for tourism. All the photographs exhibited in Hongkong are just parts of Chenzhou sceneries. I’m sure that the real sceneries must be more beautiful than photos.” Zhou also suggested that: “Hongkong people are very busy and their public holidays last about 2-3 days. Thanks to the opening of high speed railway, Chenzhou becomes the most suitable place for Hongkong people to spend their public holidays. So Chenzhou should intensify its propaganda work on tourism resources in Hongkong.” Meanwhile, vice Chairman of Hongkong China Tourism Association- Jiang Zuogong estimated that after the exhibition there would be a lot of Hongkong people visiting Chenzhou. Jiang also expected that it would be possible for the self-driving tour from Hongkong to Chenzhou.

Chenzhou’s beautiful sceneries photos attracted Hongkong people’s attention during the exhibition and also were affirmed by the professional people. Thousands of the tourism brochures were dispatched out.

Wu Chenglian, who is the honorary chairman of Hongkong China Photographic Academy had been to Chenzhou two times, but failed to enjoy Chenzhou tourism views. After enjoying this exhibition, he was surprised to see the snowy sceneries in Yangtianhu of Chenzhou and was impressed with the abundant tourism resources of Chenzhou. Wu also mentioned that it was great for Chenzhou photographer to catch Hongkong people’s eyes with these sceneries. Wu said it was a good communication channel between Hongkong and Chenzhou to hold this exhibition on the 15th anniversary of the return of Hongkong. There will be two teams from Hongkong China Photographic Academy in this July and October to visit Chenzhou.

A tourism promotion meeting was held by Chenzhou government in Hongkong during this period.
