On July 13, 2012, the 12th Wanhuayan Watermelon cultural and tourism festival was inaugurated in Wanhuayan scenery. Attracted by this splendid Wanhuayuan caves wonders and watermelon culture, medias and visitors gathered in Wanhuayan scenery to enjoy the festival. Chenzhou Municipal CPPCC Vice Chairman- Chen Fangmin attended this inaugurated ceremony and announced its opening.

It is the twelfth session of the festival, which now becomes the well-known festival in Chenzhou and China. From July 13 to July 15, visitors can enjoy themselves there.

And it will be improved to be the new platform for the watermelon farmers to make wealth by propelling Chenzhou tourism economy.
