Popular Tourism Becomes New Development Engine of Suxian District

It was reported that an agreement concerned for a 4.2-billion-yuan invested project covered with 920mu lands, Wangxianling Ecological Park Chenzhou scroll project, was signed between Suxian Government and Hunan Linyi Culture Tourism Development Co., Ltd. recently. It planned to forge it to be an urban central leisure zone with the functions of popularization of science, fitness & leisure, and tourism and would try to improve it to be a 5A tourism landscape. That was another important achievement reached by Suxian district from its establishment of national demonstration of popular tourism. According to the data, from this January to October, Suxian district received 4.4million tourists home and abroad and gained 4.2billion yuan comprehensive tourism revenue, up 21.5% and 20.9% respectively. The popular tourism becomes a new engine for the promotion of comprehensive development of Suxian district.

 

From 2015, Suxian district focused on the concept and direction of popular tourism and tried its best to improve the whole region to be a large landscape. It issued “Suxian district’s three-year action on cultivating and developing new increasing points of economy”, “Suxian district’s four-year action on development of cultural tourism industry”, “Suxian district’s solution on establishing national demonstration of popular tourism”, and some other files. All mainly focused on four plates as central urban area, eastern, southern and northern area to improve 6 themes as Chenzou avenue leisure sightseeing agricultural and rural tourism belt, Chenjiang road-107 national road historic culture and red tourism belt, Xihe river water ecology & folk culture display belt, Feitianshan Danxia tourism landscape, Bailutang-Wugaishan mine tourism & outdoor expansion tourism belt, and Zaoxiang road hot spring fitness & leisure tourism belt.

 

It introduced 1.2billion yuan from Chenzhou Zhuoqun Company to create “Feitian-Suxian” large-scale live-action show, attracted 3billion yuan from China Shunfeng Investment Industry Co., Ltd. to explore Feitian Mountain, and gained 1.0billion yuan from Lithuania OKSALIS to improve Wugaishan International Hunting Filed. The first phase of “Feitian-Suxian” large-scale live-action show has almost been finished, and its premier was shown on the opening ceremony of 2015 Chenzhou Tourism Festival. The training center for second phase’s performers, carton and TV base, creation base for artists, Xiangnan folk street, aquatic amusement center, commercial facilities, and etc. were being proceeded to preliminary work and were estimated to be started next year. The total areas for the comprehensive development project of Feitian Mountain are over 60square meters. The project was operated with PPP model that China Shunfeng Group would place 2billion yuan in 3-5 years to promote Feitian Mountain to be an international leisure tourism resort and national 5A landscape with the functions of sightseeing, fitness & vacation, health & sports, village experience, cultural leisure, and ecological & livable place. As the largest hunting company of Europe, Lithuania OKSALLS would handle the comprehensive development of Wugaishan International Hunting Field in 3 years, which would explore a convenient way for the development of Chenzhou tourism and improvement of international brand.

 

At the meantime, Suxian district deeply explored its Buddha culture, red culture, blessing place culture, mine culture and sports culture to promote the profound integration of tourism and culture industry. In recent years, Wangxian Lake, Ailian Lake, Suxian Lake, South Tower Park, East Tower Park and Yuhou Street ( an historic culture street) were built along Chenjiang river, which helped for form an urban ecological scenery of “three lakes, two parks and one street” and shaped “urban central parks” with “two hills”. Some new famous tourism brands as “Hunan-Guangdong ancient horse trail hiking”, “Feitian mountainous crossing challenge”, “beer, music and tent festival”, and etc. were developed by Suxian district as well. In following step, it would integrate the resources of Yuhou historic culture street and Hunan-Guangdong ancient trails to establish “urban central leisure area”; integrate some red culture tourism resources as Xiangnan Intifada Memorial Hall, Liangtian Martyr Memorial Park, Lijia House, and etc. to improve Suxian red tourism brand; well utilize the fame of Shizhuyuan Mine as “the world’s non-ferrous metals museum” to improve Shizhuyuan Mine Park to be a national mine park.
