Rural self-driving is becoming more popular
According to the statistics, about 1.204million visitors were received by Chenzhou city during the “golden week” of 2016 Chinese Spring Festival with an increase of 30.2%, contributing 930million yuan tourism revenue, up 32.6%. At the meantime, more types and better services were provided by Chenzhou city, which indicated that Chenzhou tourism industry to be with new situation.
Rural and suburb travel are becoming more popular
Rural inns, landscapes, ancient villages, and etc. which are available in Chenzhou-Zixing-Guiyang one-hour tourism circle were hot during 2016 Chinese Spring Festival.
It was learned from the data shown by Chenzhou Statistics Bureau that Xiaobu Nanling Ecology City, Wangxianling, Beach Park, and other landscapes of Beihu district received more than 1000 visitors per day at maximum on the holiday. Thanks to the improvement of infrastructure, the visitors travelled to Feitianshan Landscape were with an increase of 40%.
Zixing city’s tourism was even hotter. On February 10, 2016, more than 20,000 visitors were received by Dawangzhai, Bailang, Liuhuawan ancient dwellings, and other scenic spots.
During the “golden week” of 2016 Chinese Spring Festival, more than 1600 visitors travelled to Tangxi Hot Spring every day; from New Year Day to 4th day of Chinese Lunar New Year, 3000 audience visited Wuling Agricultural Civilization Museum daily, up 38%. Shoufo Temple and Huilong Hill were hot as well. On New Year Day of Chinese Lunar New Year, more than 6100 people travelled to Shoufo Temple, up 33%.
According to above data, the visitors received by Chenzhou city, especially for Chenzhou local visitors were favored with rural and suburb travel better. Original, characteristic, and boutique leisure tourism products are more popular for the market. Some healthy tourism models as hiking and cycling rise gradually. More and more climbers went to Suxianling and Wangxianling. More cycling teams were available in Chenzhou Avenue.
Self-driving travel is becoming the mainstream
Self-driving travel, family travel, and individual travel are becoming the mainstreams of Chenzhou tourism. According to the statistics, 23,000 self-driving vehicles were driven to Chenzhou city during the holiday, carrying about 60,000 visitors.
Some self-driving visitors from Guangxi province, Guangdong province, Macau, and HK went to Mount Mang to spend their long vacation there and enjoy snow scenery and Yao minority folk culture there. Hundreds of vehicle teams arrived in Chenzhou city via Guangdong province.
90% of the total visitors to Suxianling, Wangxianling, and Longnv Hot Spring were by self-driving, most of whom were from counties and districts of Chenzhou city. Mount Mang of Yizhang county, Jiuzhuyuan of Guiyang county, Sanhe village of Beihu district, and Lexian Villa of Suxian district received many self-driving visitors from Changsha city, Guangdong province, and Guangxi province.
Brand tourism is hot
During the “golden week” of 2016 Chinese Spring Festival, series boutique landscapes were benefited greatly from brand marketing.
The rooms of Mount Mang Hot Spring Hotel were booked out one week before the holiday and the hotel was kept hot during the holiday.
More than 5400 visitors were received by Longnv Hot Spring every day, contributing 1.20million yuan comprehensive revenue, while 7300 visitors by Fuquan Villa, contributing 2.1million yuan. Yiliu Tanghuli Hot Spring was very hot by receiving many visitors from Lianzhou and Pingshi of Guangdong province.
Some competitive tourism products which were promoted by Mineral and Gem Show and some other international tourism festivals were extremely hot during the holiday: 14,300 visitors traveled to Ancient Coins Square of Baoshan National Mine Park, contributing 0.27million yuan comprehensive tourism revenue.
Some counties and districts played the best advantages of festivals to attract visitors by carrying out abundant folk culture events. The four main scenic spots of Dongjiang Lake Landscape as Huangcao, Bailang, Qingjiang and Small Dongjiang received 118,000 visitors in the first 5 days of the golden week, up 58%.
