“From the stone unloading site to the construction site, there is still about 1.5 km of mountain road, which is impassable by vehicles, so we have to use horses to transport the building materials. It takes about an hour for each horse to carry 150 kilograms of construction materials at a time. At the moment, there are nine horses and they can make eight to nine round trips a day,” said Cheng Jun, general manager of Chenzhou Mangshan Tourism Development Co., LTD. 

 

Mangshan Mountain is now seeking to make itself a national AAAAA tourist scenic area, with many scenic spots under renovation such as Monkey King Village Scenic Area, Jiangjunzhai Scenic Area, Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area, the Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area and the roads along the scenic area and the surrounding environment, covering an area of about 33.4 square kilometers. 

 

 

The project has 49 sub-projects, with a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan. It has four parts, including Mangshan National Forest Park construction project, Wuzhi Peak Scenic Area construction project, the external construction project of the scenic area and software construction project.

 

With an investment of 14,394,500 yuan, the upgrading project of Jiangjunzhai Scenic Area covers a total land area of about 13,500 square meters, which involves the construction of new wind and rain corridors at pick-up stations, reconstruction of public toilets, shops, landscape gardens, geological disaster control facilities, surrounding roads and trails.

 

 

Meanwhile, the construction of other projects like Congshuba Customer Service Center, Mangshan Mountain Tourist Service Center, Tiantai Mountain Scenic Area, Monkey King Village Scenic Area, the traffic transfer station, fire rescue base and Tiantai Mountain barrier-free emergency channel are also in full swing.
