The unveiling ceremony of Chenzhou-Taiwan Industrial Park was held in Chenzhou on September 5. Yok Mu-ming, chairman of Taiwan's New Party, and Chen Yunlin, president of the mainland-based Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Straits (ARATS), who were invited to attend the 7th Hunan-Taiwan Cooperation Conference on Economy & Trade, witnessed the ceremony.
According to Chenzhou Mayor Xiang Lili, the Chenzhou-Taiwan Industrial Park will serve as a significant platform to undertake industrial transfer and promote Hunan-Taiwan cooperation in trade and economy.
Mei Kebao, deputy secretary of the CPC Hunan Provincial Committee, stated that the industrial park aims to propel the economical cooperation between Hunan and Taiwan and promote Hunan's open economy. As a result, it should be built into a model park invested by Taiwan businessmen and thus play a greater role in promoting cross-strait economic and trade exchanges.
