The largest forestry industrial park in Hunan Province started construction in Suxian District of Chenzhou City on Nov. 15.
This industrial park covers a planning area of 5,503 mu (about 906 acre), with the Phase One project accounting for 2,430 mu (about 400 acre) and the estimated investment totaling 2 billion yuan. It is divided into "one center and six areas" according to the function, namely, the Leisure Ecological Center, the Bamboo Products Processing Area, the Forestry and Food Processing Area, the Products Display and Trading Area, the Forestry Planting Exhibition Area, the Warehousing and Logistics Area, and the Comprehensive Service and Facilities Area. It strives to, in three to five years, develop a virtuous circle development mode of forestry economy integrating production, supply and marketing, and achieve 3 billion yuan of annual output value.
Till now, more than ten enterprises such as Xinhesheng, Yutai and Tinder Industrial Co., Ltd. have signed agreements on building factories in the industrial park, with the intention investment reaching 1.21 billion yuan.
