In recent years, Yongxing County of Chenzhou City has effectively propelled the economy and new rural construction by actively promoting overseas Chinese investment.

In the first half of 2011, all together 21 projects were concluded by the overseas Chinese, attracting an investment of 1.54 billion yuan with a paid-in investment of 1.16 billion yuan, a growth of 42%, 133% and 110% compared with the same period of the previous year respectively.

These foreign-funded enterprises, including Yongchangxing Smelting Plant, Yongchangxing Hotel, Yongxing County Gold and Silver Trading Center, Chenzhou Minfeng Special Breeding Farm and Chenzhou Bifeng Special Breeding Farm, have boosted the development of the local economy, bringing the total investment from the overseas Chinese to ten million US dollars.

Meanwhile, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Office of Yongxing County fully supports Chenzhou's plan of "introducing intelligence, supporting industry" and encourages the overseas Chinese to take part in non-government business and establish non-public ownership enterprises.

 

Through these measures, the overseas Chinese make major contributions to promoting the county's economic development in an all-round way.
