The launching ceremony for rural children palace of Hunan province sponsored by 2012 central special lottery public welfare fund was held in Zixing, Chenzhou.

The central special public welfare fund for rural school children palace project was approved by the State Council in March, 2011. During the “twelfth-five year”, 2.45 billion yuan special fund will be issued by Financial Administration for the central civilization office to build 8000 rural school children palaces. The projects will be constructed on the basis of the villages’ central primary schools. According to the plan, 1600 palaces will be finished every year to reach the construction target which covers 15%, 20% and 30% rural areas of eastern, central and western China respectively within 5 years.

In order to well implement this project, Financial Administration, Central Civilization Office, and Education Ministration formatted some measures, issued the special notice, and organized the projects supervision and evaluation work. According to the tasks designated to Hunan province, 96 rural children palaces would be finished within 2012, nine of which were for Chenzhou city.

Director of Civilization Office of Hunan Province- Song Zhifu and Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou city- Lei Xiaoda attended the launching ceremony. Attendants visited two children palaces in Gaoma Central Primary School of Chengshui town, Zixing city and in Wulipai Central Primary School of Suxian district.
