It was learned from National Bureau of Quality Inspection that the importer & exporter record management system for imported food was launched on October 1, 2012. All oversea exporters or agents who export the food to China and the domestic importers should be put on records with this record management system.
The main purpose for launching this system is to make better records of the importer and exporter and ensure the safety of import foods.
Importers and exporters should be responsible for all the food information which they submitted online. From October 1st (it was timed from the date of oversea cargos delivery time), when the importers or agents declared the import foods, they have to clarify the relative exporters’ names and record numbers accordingly on the documents.
