What happened to the Qiaotou and Qingquan village, Guidong county, Chenzhou city during the Middile Autumn Day and National Day holiday? When arriving there, reporters found people were busy in decorating tea houses. That was one of the parts for Guidong county’s construction on “county of tea in south Hunan”.
Both the two villages mentioned above have a long-term history of tea planting. In recent years, they keep focusing on the improvement of “Linglong tea” brand. After years of improvement, 5000mu Linglong tea parks were forged in the two villages. In order to extend the ecological industry chain and increase local people’s income, Guidong county government set the target of forging the “County of Tea in South Hunan” in 2010, and then upgraded it to be “county of tea” nationalwide in 2011. From last Spring, Guidong county government invested a large amount of capital in this tea project and carried out different forms of operation to inspire more villagers to join this project construction. Till now, a tea industry belt for leisure and tourism view with 15kms and over 20000mu tea parks has been established along Qiaotou and Qingquan village, and a modern automatic tea manufacture line has been established as well. In this June, on the basis of on-site investigation and public suggestion collection, Guidong county started the reconstruction project of building the roads with the Anhui style , which was estimated to be finished at the end of this year.
The reconstruction project was divided to be carried out with two phases. The first phase is with about 40 million yuan investment which is mainly for the reconstruction of road buildings. The second phase is for the local building construction and reconstruction with tea cultural characteristics, and is planned to complete a tea market covering 12748 square meters.
