Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City- Qu Hai took visits to some key international trade enterprises on October 12, 2012. During the visits, Qu studied the details of their businesses and Chenzhou open economy condition. Qu required that supporting policies should be facilitated for the international trade enterprises to upgrade the service level and improve open economy development.

Qu Hai visited Chenzhou Food Machine Co., Ltd. and Custom Clearance Hall of Chenzhou Export Processing Zone where he learned the foreign trade businesses and the custom clearance processes.

A symposium was held later when Qu finished the above visits. He listened to the detailed reports delivered by the enterprises and required that the supporting policies should be further implemented on the foreign trade enterprise; the working style should be transferred to increase working efficiency and help to solve the firms’ problems; the productive service industry should be vigorously supported to decrease the logistic and comprehensive operation cost; the undertaking platform should be improved to establish the national undertaking industrial transfer demonstration city; specified problems such as the custom, national tax, commercial affair, etc. should be solved at the soonest time. Meanwhile, as for the enterprises themselves, they should try best to fight for fulfilling all the annual targets.

As regard to accelerating the open economy construction, Qu Hai added that opening-up is one of the key characteristics of Chenzhou city, so it is significant for Chenzhou to develop the open economy. All the favorable policies should be well carried out; standard factory workshops should be built; the undertaking transfer platform should be accelerated; investment attraction should be boosted, especially for the key merchants, enterprises and top 500 ones; all the signed contracts and projects should be carried out well; international trade should be expanded greatly; in one word, departments at all levels should work together to fulfill the annual tasks.
