A large-scale job fair was held on Luoxiao square of Guidong county on October 25, 2012. 25 enterprises attended this fair and provided 3000 job vacancies to the job applicants. Over 500 job contracts were signed on site. Two large-scale job fairs have been held at Guidong county, which helped 1000 people to be re-employed.

Guidong county kept on implementing the active employment policies with more forms, such as developing more job vacancies with more channels, enhancing job training with more ways and encouraging entrepreneurship. The government especially paid attention to the poverty- striken family members and graduates of professional schools. 70 big projects were attracted to settle down at Guidong county, which provided 6000 job vacancies. Some other national invested projects and small town construction projects solved the job problems for more than 500 peasants. Furthermore, Guidong county launched a project to encourage the entrepreneurships on tea, seedling, southern bamboo, Chinese traditional medicine, etc.. Some favorable policies such as the low interest or free interest loan amounted 30,000 to 80,000 and “one-stop” service with simple approval procedures would assist them in starting their private businesses on the above fileds. In recent years, 450 million subsidies have been issued to over 1000 entrepreneurs and labor-intensive enterprises, which provides more than 6000 job opportunities for the whole society.
