Recently, the briefing on preparatory work of Chenzhou Mining Association & the product promotion conference for Changsha Wanda Group was held in Chenzhou city. For further study and implementation of the spirit of 18th Party Congress of CPC and further innovation of social management, the preparatory work of Chenzhou Mining Association was launched officially. Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city were present at the conference.

Chenzhou city is famous for its abundant mineral resources and its mining economy accounts for an important part in the whole economy. Till now, 112 kinds of mineral resources were discovered here, including 37 proved reserves and 17 kinds under development. The potential economy value of Chenzhou mineral resources ranked the top among other cities of China. Along with the further development of mineral economy, some problems like the lagging of mineral industry management and industry construction become even acuter. To establish Chenzhou Mining Association is to meet the demand of further administrative structural reform, service-oriented government, further enforcement and innovation of social management, the best use of mineral resources advantages, transformation of mining industry development, promotion of continuous development of economy and society, and comprehensive construction of a well-off society.

It was reported that the preparatory working leadership group of Chenzhou Mining Association had been established on November 19, 2012. The preparatory work will be followed with the direction of market development to grasp the laws of mineral organization and to establish the association such as the carrier of mineral industry service, guide of industry development, advisor of policy making department of government, communication bridge between mineral enterprises and governments, and the new communication platform among prospectors, miners and mining managers. The start of the preparatory work of Chenzhou Mining Association marked a new stage of Chenzhou mineral resource management and discovery.
