The deputy Director of Party Group and Editor-in-chief of “Hunan Daily” Newspaper Group- Dong Yuelin was accompanied by 4 reporters in Chenzhou station of Hunan Daily to take a visit to Chenzhou on November 30- December 1, 2012. Dong highly praised the ecological civilization and new rural construction of Chenzhou city. He said Hunan Daily would forcefully promote Chenzhou city and focus on its new rural construction. Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Minister of Chenzhou Propaganda Ministry- Zhou Yingchun attended the investigation together with Dong.

Dong and his team followed the trace of Chenzhou-Zixing-Guiyang “two-oriented society” demonstration belt and visit Tashui village, Sanhe village, Xiaobu village, Heping village and other new rural constriction demonstration spots and Xihe Beach Park. The unified housing plan, neat and beautiful village, peaceful and joyful village life in Tashui village, well-preserved ancient trees, ancient stage and bridge in Sanhe ancient village, the well-preserved and well-promoted traditional culture in Xiaobu village, and prosperous leisure tourism in Heping village were all recorded in Dong’s camera. Meanwhile, Dong also chatted with some rural workers and villagers during the trip in order to learn more details of rural infrastructure planning, industry development and farmers’ living condition.

Dong was much impressed by Chenzhou government’s achievements on the promotion of ecological civilization and new rural construction during this trip. Dong remarked that Chenzhou’s villages turned green, beautiful and bright in years’ efforts. Its work on “two-oriented society” demonstration belt construction and integration of urban and rural area had gained remarkable results, which greatly improved the rural condition, developed the industry, enriched the peasants, and provided more useful experience and classic examples for the further development of Hunan province. Dong Yuelin also stated that he would make a good collection, propaganda and promotion of Chenzhou working experience after he came back. He also hoped that Chenzhou government could further play the conscious activity to protect, develop and make full use of abundant natural resources as well as labor resources to accelerate the transformation of economy development and benefit people.

Dong and his team also visited Xihe Beach Park, Yuhou Street, Yongxing Silver First Palace, and Anling College.
