2012 “top 200 demonstration counties with the most investment potentiality of China” list was released by Global Strategic Economic Development Committee in Beijing recently. Guiyang county of Chenzhou city was selected as one of the top 200 counties. That was the second time for Guiyang County to be in this list in two consecutive years. Changsha, Ningxiang, Youxian, Huarong, Shandong, Xiangying and Xiangtan counties were the ones from Hunan province in the list.

The selection activity of “top 200 demonstration counties with most investment potentiality of China” started in 2007, which conducts a comprehensive assessment of 1578 counties of China every year from 10 aspects like the county’s unique feature, charm, reform innovation, industrial innovation, tourism resource, investment condition, etc.. With the continuous support of emerged industries, strong support of optimization of economy structure and further improvement of investment condition, Guiyang County has gained great development in recent years. Its industrial park areas were expanded to be 27 square kilometers with “one park, six zones” and the strategic emerging industrial system with four leading industries like new material, new energy, electronic information and biology pharmaceuticals was formed in Guiyang county. Furthermore, in order to promote the investment attraction and undertaking industrial transfer, the construction of standard factory workshops was forcefully improving in Guiyang County, accumulated to be more than one million square meters. $247 million foreign investment was paid in Guiyang County with an annual increase of 16.3%; 7.807 million yuan domestic investment was accumulated in the county with annual increase of 17% and foreign import & export trade amount hit $ 157 million with over 10% annual increase in 5 years. Because of these great achievements, Guiyang County was listed as Hunan provincial demonstration county of processing trade of undertaking industrial transfer and Hunan provincial exportation base.
