2012 Chenzhou Economical and Social Development Debriefing Meeting was held in the Hunan Building of Beijing on December 23, 2012. Some central government leaders who worked in Hunan province before and who are from Hunan province attended the meeting. Director of the State Administration of Industry and Commerce- Zhou Bohua delivered a speech at the meeting. Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee hosted the meeting. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City addressed the 2012 working report on the development of Chenzhou economy and society during the meeting.

Time flies. 2012 will soon be over. Participants were glad to see great achievements happening in Chenzhou city in 2012. 47 indicators of performance appraisal issued by Hunan provincial government have been fulfilled; 17 tasks of tangible issues set by Hunan provincial government have been completed, some of which are even over fulfilled; more than 20 working items like undertaking industrial transfer, open economy, comprehensive treatment of social safety, new rural construction, etc. were appraised by the central and provincial government and the popularity of Chenzhou city were upgraded by handling the promotion meeting of Hunan opening up & demonstration construction of south Hunan undertaking industrial transfer and opening ceremony of Hunan international tourism.

Zhou Bohua, the former Governor of Hunan Province highly affirmed the work done by Chenzhou municipal government in 2012. Zhou stated that Chenzhou municipal party committee, Chenzhou municipal NPC, Chenzhou municipal government, and Chenzhou municipal CPPCC have worked together in recently years to transfer Chenzhou’s advantages on local geography, resources, human culture, ecological civilization, etc. to the advantages on the development of Chenzhou economy and society. These efforts greatly boosted Chenzhou’s leapfrog development. As Hunan people, they should cooperate together to promote the development of Hunan province and contribute to the further development of China.

Xiang Lili highly welcomed the guests attending the meeting and appreciated their concern on Chenzhou city’s improvement. Xiang stated that Chenzhou government would keep focusing on the fulfillment of tasks listed in the 18th National Congress of CPC to accelerate Chenzhou city’s construction on internationalization and modernization.

Qu Hai pointed out that Chenzhou government would follow the requirements of “another three years for further refulgence” project to reach a stable, sound and fast development of society and establish a comprehensive well-off society.
