It was learned from Chenzhou science and technology working conference on April 10, 2013 that more than 60 million yuan science and technology funds was obtained from higher level department in 2012. There were 18 national science and technology projects which were more than earlier year.

One project from Zixing city named “health protection technology demonstration for residents in heavy metal processing industrial park” was listed in the first batch projects of national technology benefiting plan, obtaining 19.12 million yuan funds. “Key study on efficient cleaning and recovering of silver and its industrialization” led by Yongxing Xiongfeng Rare Metal Co., Ltd. was listed in 2012 national technology support plan, obtaining 25.58million yuan funds. Besides those, 10 more enterprises were issued with about 6.3 million yuan innovation funds of medium-sized and small enterprises.

Great attention was also placed on the transformation of scientific and technological results by Chenzhou government. About 200 scientific and technological results were transformed to practical productive forces in 2012 with about 200 million yuan trade volume, ranking the forth place of Hunan province. “Light up Chenzhou, green lighting”- “ten cities, ten thousand lights” which was the pilot project of LED application was launched in Chenzhou city in 2012. Along with the implementation of this project, 39 LED application projects with 17522 lights on 206.6kms roads were promoted in Chenzhou city which helped to save 13million kilowatt hours annually.
