It was learned from Chenzhou Science and Technology Bureau that 15 enterprises of Chenzhou city were approved as high-tech enterprises in 2012 according to the high-tech enterprise list released by Hunan province. Now, there are 56 high-tech enterprises available in Chenzhou city.

It was an important measure for the promotion of industrial adjustment, transformation of development mode and construction of innovative-style city to carry out the upgrading work on high-tech enterprise approval in Chenzhou city. On the basis of detailed investigation handled by Chenzhou Science and Technology Bureau, some enterprises were selected as the key cultivation ones. More favorable policies and supports were placed on these enterprises with great improvement, which enabled the successful rate of high-tech enterprises approval to be 70%.

According to the data, among the 56 high-tech enterprises, 10 were electronic information technology, 4 were biology and new medical technology, 12 were new material, 1 was high-tech service, 2 were new energy and energy-saving technology, 14 were resource and environment technology, and 13 were high-tech reconstructing traditional industry.
