The first China (Changsha) International Mineral Gem Expo was opened in ChangSha city

The opening ceremony of first China (Changsha) International Mineral Gem Expo was held in Changsha city on May 16, 2013. More than 300 mineral crystal decoration stones from Chenzhou city were shown in the expo.

It was the first national and international level’s professional mineral gem expo in China. More than 1500 international standard exhibition stands were set in the expo with about 58000 square meters, which attracted over 1000 exhibitors from 50 countries to gather here.

It was introduced that the expo would be last for 5 days and closed on May 20th, 2013. Expo summit forum, gem summit forum & 15th annual meeting of international non-ferrous gem association, museum theme forum & 2013 annual meeting of land and resources museum specialized committee, fossil summit forum & 2013 annual meeting of China fossil experts committee, and some other theme activities would be held during the expo.

Chenzhou city’s pavilion was decorated as a wild goose about to fly. All the 300 decoration stones were selected from private collectors, amounting to more than 300 million yuan. 80% of them were founded in Chenzhou area.

Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City visited Chenzhou pavilion in this morning and learn more details of the exhibition work from the staffs introduction.

Qu stated that it was a significant chance to promote Chenzhou mineral industry to worldwide by attending such international level expo, so all the staffs should try their best to handle the exhibition well.

Qu asked the staffs to show Chenzhou people’s hostility on the show to attract more investors to Chenzhou city.
