On May 18, 2013, the 8th Central China Investment and Trade Fair was opened in Zhenzhou city, Henan province with the theme of “continuous transformation, coordinate development and further rise”. Du Jiahao- Deputy Secretary of Hunan Provincial Party Committee and Acting Governor of Hunan Province visited the pavilion of Chenzhou city after the opening ceremony of this fair. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City attended the ceremony and relative activities.

The fair was an annual event co-sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce, the State Administration of Taxation, the State Administration of Business, the State Administration of Radio Film and Television, CCPIT, China Federation of Industry and Commerce, the China Federation of Industrial Economics and Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, Henan, Hubei & Hunan governments . It was purposely to establish a communication and cooperation platform among the merchants from China and abroad to promote further rise of central of China. Besides the main venue set in Zhenzhou, there were three sub-venues available in Louhe, Luoyang, and Sanmenxia.

In this fair, Chenzhou processing industrial park was propagandized as the key point in Chenzhou pavilion. Some latest products developed by the high-tech enterprises in the park were exhibited in the fair. Du Jiahao highly affirmed the improvement of high-tech enterprises in Chenzhou city when he visited Chenzhou pavilion. As required by Du, better communication and propaganda work should be handled by Chenzhou government by this fair to upgrade the industrial transformation and high-tech industry.

Qu Hai attended 2013 summit forum, China central provinces and representatives of multinational corporations conference, commerce leaders of foreign chambers and six China central provinces conference, etc. after the opening ceremony of the fair. Qu encouraged the Chenzhou enterprises joined in the competition of China central areas to expand the market there and upgrade the industrial transformation of Chenzhou city.
