Special news of the heavy metal pollution control handled in Xihe river, Chenzhou city were broadcasted on two programs -“Morning News”of CCTV and “Hunan News”of Hunan TV recently.

In order to promote the economical development of Chenzhou city, mining industries were highly promoted there in the earlier years which helped to upgrade the city’s economy level and but caused heavy pollution to the environment especially the river as well. In recent years, in order to recover the environment condition, series measures were carried out by Chenzhou government. The heavy metal pollution control handled out in Xihe river, Suxian district was one of the most successful case of Chenzhou city. In the beginning of May, some reporters from CCTV and Hunan TV took a special report on the heavy metal pollution control issue. All the reporters were impressed with the great changes and improvement of environment condition followed with the pollution control.
