It was reported that “one industrial worker in one family”activity was carried out by Yao Ethnic Township government to train the attendances with root carving skills. Now, there were about 50 people attended this training.

There were about 60000mu phyllostachys pubescens in Lianping. Because of its unique features, it was with good marketing effect of original bamboo. But it was with much less value than the processing bamboos. In order to make full use of local resources, Yao Ethnic Township government decided to develop some local featured products by attracting more investments nationwide. Root carving was one of the projects among them.

This training would be last for about one month by teaching theory knowledge and practicing root carving to the trainees who would practice in the factory of root carving as well. An evaluation work should be finished before the end of this training. All the qualified trainees would be granted with the qualification
