Qu Hai led a team to investigate Ganzhou, Jiangxi province

Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City led a team to investigate Ganzhou, Jiangxi province from July 12 to 13. It was mainly for the fine processing of non-ferrous metal and overall development of urban & rural development.

Because of its abundant non-ferrous metals, mining industry was with high percentage in Ganzhou’s economy, taking black wolfram, rare earth, and salt chemical for example, all the three industries were with more than 70 billion yuan annual value of production. In recent years, Ganzhou government promoted the cluster development model for non-ferrous metal industry with effective achievements and focused on the fulfillment the target as“new wolfram city of the world”.

In the morning of July 13, 2013, Qu Hai and his team visited Hantang village- a demonstration pilot of overall development of urban and rural areas. By actively applying the favorable policies issued by the State Council, Hantang village handled centralized settlement of the houses in historic sites and upgraded the house retreatment work with red revolution site and new Hantang village construction. Now “Hongjing” of Hantang village has been improved as a new rural housing area.

Leng Xinsheng- Deputy Secretary of Ganzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Ganzhou City presented brief introduction of Ganzhou city’s condition on the exchange meeting of the two cities. Leng stated that Chenzhou and Ganzhou were the two poles of “red triangle”, and the main fields for the development and poverty alleviation of Luoxiao mountainous area, so further communication and cooperation on transportation, mining industry development, poverty alleviation should be promoted between two cities.

Qu said, both Ganzhou and Chenzhou were with rapid development in recent years. The main purpose for this investigation trip was for learning more development experience from Ganzhou and looking for the chances to work together with Ganzhou city. There were great achievements on Ganzhou city’s mineral processing, overall development of urban and rural areas, new rural construction, which were helpful for Chenzhou city’s further improvement on these areas. More cooperation on infrastructure construction, industrial development, tourism improvement, application of favorable policies, and other areas should be upgraded between two cities. Qu also expressed his hope on the development of new cooperation mechanism to reach win-win interaction between two cities.
