Chenzhou City Ranks First Place on Increase of Foreign Trade in Hunan Province

According to the data released by Changsha Customs Office in Chenzhou city, in the first half year, the total value of Chenzhou city’s foreign trade hit $1.14 billion with an increase of 49.1%, ranking first place of Hunan province.

 

From the beginning of this year, Chenzhou city continued to seize the chance of the national level undertaking industrial transfer demonstration zone and accelerated the speed on the construction of industrial park and processing trade. It greatly helped Chenzhou city to achieve substantial growth of processing trade in the first half year. It was reported that total value of processing trade was amounted to $690.00 million, up 84.2%, covering 60.5% of total value of Chenzhou city’s foreign trade and 27.5% of Hunan province, which was just lower than Changsha city, ranking the second place of Hunan province. Chenzhou export processing zone which was the exclusive customs special supervision area in Hunan province kept to play an important role in foreign trade. The total processing trade value hit $590.00 in the first half year, up 105%, covering 85.5% of the total processing value of Chenzhou city.

 

Thanks to the more opening policy on foreign trade, more private enterprises joined in the foreign trade businesses, no exception for Chenzhou city. Guided with the policies, information and more services, a rapid increase of private enterprises’s foreign trade businesses was gained in Chenzhou city, especially for some mineral resources businesses. It was reported that, the total foreign trade value for private enterprises was amounted to $900 million, up 59.3%, covering about 80% of the total foreign trade value of Chenzhou city.

 

It was shown from the data, Hong Kong and Peru were the two key trading partners of Chenzhou city. $520 million and $170 million were reached with Hong Kong and Peru respectively in the first half year, up 62.6% and 33.6% separately. Both the two markets’ value was about 60% of total foreign trade value of Chenzhou city.
