Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City investigated Chenzhou city’s modern logistic industry development in the morning of August 15, 2013. Qu stated that modern logistic platform construction should be accelerated to establish opener logistic system and try to transfer location advantage to competitive advantage.

Qu Hai and his team visited Hongguang logistic, Jinhuang logistic, Xingyi logistic and some more logistic companies to check the project construction details and listened to the working report presented by the principal of Xiangnan International Logistic Park. Qu also made on-site scheduling concerned for the problems on the construction.

Xiangnan International Logistic Park was one of the accumulation areas for Chenzhou city’s opening up and platform of undertaking industrial transfer. Chenzhou road check point, different function zones, F channel for direct discharging, multimodal transport for railway and sea, and other projects were enabled Chenzhou city with comprehensive and strong logistic capabilities. Qu stated that Xiangnan International Logistic Park should take further step to integrate the resources, accelerate platform construction, promote the combined transportation development and expand the comprehensive effect of the park.

Qu said, logistic cost was an important index for one city’s comprehensive development cost. Though more achievements were reached in Chenzhou city in recent years, it was still with some disadvantages. It was an urgent issue to accelerate the development of modern logistic industry to promote modern service and comprehensive development of industrial enterprises, which would be helpful to decrease the regional development cost and increase the comprehensive competitiveness of the regional economy. On this point, the location advantage would be transferred to competitive advantage.

Qur required that all the departments should unify the idea to improve modern logistic industry and decrease logistic cost; should highlight the key point to support the key logistic enterprises; and should optimize the development condition to provide the modern logistic enterprises with more favorable policies.
