It was learned that the first “Dongjiang Lake” folk music festival will be held in Dongjiang cultural square from September 12 to September 15, 2013. This festival was with the theme of “enjoying folk music, drinking Dongjiang Lake Beer and travelling Dongjiang lake”. It was hosted by Zixing government and Chenzhou Municipal Bureau of Foreign Tourism Affairs. And it was co-responded by Hunan Dongjiang Lake Tourism Development Co., Ltd., Chenzhou New Tianhan Performance Center, Chenzhou Five Champions International Travel Agency, Tsingtao Beer (Chenzhou) Co., Ltd. and Hunan Tianhan Cultural Media Group.

It was introduced that 24 folk song and dance troupes with about 300members home and abroad (Japan, Korea, Thailand, Indonesia, U.S.A., Canada, Russia, etc.) would participate this festival. Audience can enjoy acrobatic, Kazakhstan dance, percussion music, special belly dance, military band performance, cartoon dolls, action art, beer competition, etc. during the festival.
