Recently, when reporters arrived at Yangmeishan town, many workers were busy in the decoration issues of the streets.

Yangmeishan town was a mining town with over one hundred year history. Most of its buildings were constructed in the 80s’ and 90s’ of 20 century before the bankrupt of Yangmeishan coal mine. In order to upgrade the living condition of local people, the party committee and government of the town tried their best to seize the chance of the development of “great cross” town cluster and launch the retreatment of streets project accordingly. According to the budget, more than 8 million yuan should be placed on the 30,000 square meters retreatment issues. In order to fulfill the project well with high quality, a special team was dispatched to Rucheng county to learn the county’s advanced experience and a high level design was figured out by Chenzhou Planning and Design Institute. At the meantime, a special supervision team was formed to enhance the guidance of the retreatment work, and specified responsible system was established to check the work accordingly. Furthermore, open supervision was handled out by the town to inform people with progress of the project on time.

Till the end of September, 27,300 square meters retreatment has been finished in the town, covering 88% of the total task.
