It was reported that the founding ceremony and first membership representative conference of Chenzhou Mining Association was held on Oct. 21, 2013, indicating that Chenzhou Mining Association was formally established.

Chenzhou Mining Association is a joint community organization of Chenzhou mining industry (mineral resources exploration, development, utilization and relative industries), which is constituted by mining enterprises, enterprises and public institutions of mining research, teaching, design and intermediation, mining industrial associations and other resources. The association is a municipal level and non-profit social organization. Xu Licheng was elected as the president of this new association on the conference.

It is an important channel for the communication between the government and enterprises via this mining association. Furthermore, it would be helpful to promote Chenzhou city’s mineral resources development and utilization, improve the development of mining economy system, standardize mining order with upgrading market allocation of mining resources, and enhance the support capacity of mineral resources. Besides those, it would place a more positive role in protecting ecological environment, promoting sustainable development, accelerating innovation of mining industry, and upgrading service level for the mining enterprises and organizations of Chenzhou city.

Xu Tianyou- Vice President of China Mining Association, Gong Wenyong- Deputy Director of Hunan Provincial Land and Resources Ministry, Huang Guoping- Deputy General Manager of China Minmetals Non-ferrous Metals Holdings Ltd., Co. and some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city were present at relative activities.
