Ranking third place in Hunan province on the increasing rate of first three quarters

It was learned from the data about first three quarters’ scale industries released by Chenzhou Economy and Information Commission that the added value of scale industries hit 61.823 billion yuan with an increase of 12.4% in Chenzhou city, ranking third place in Hunan province on the increasing rate. Compared with this August, this increasing rate was about 0.5% higher.

Emerging industries contributed much more parts on the increasing

According to the data, in the first three quarters, emerging industries were kept with a rapid increasing rate, while traditional industries were with slower increase. From January to September, Chenzhou city’s equipment manufacturing industry was with a growth rate of 24.1% which was 11.7% higher than Chenzhou city’s average rate, especially for machinery and electronics industries with an increasing rate of 30.4% and 19.5% respectively. Energy, non-ferrous metal, construction material, chemicals, food and other traditional industries were kept increasing.

At the meantime, the main indicators of industrial growth were getting better. Industrial electricity consumption was amounted to 5.74 billion KWH with an increase of 11.7% which was for four consecutive month’s increase. Exports of industrial products were kept substantial growth that the export delivery value of industrial products increased by 72.7%. 

Energy saving was with significant progress

Energy saving is kept as a key point of Chenzhou city’s industrial restructuring and upgrading.

According to the data, the energy consumption for every ten thousand scale industrial added value of the scale industries decreased 12.2% in the first nine months. It was estimated that the annual target to decrease the energy consumption rate of 4.5% would be fulfilled well.

Concerning for condition of all counties of Chenzhou city, Yongxing county, Jiahe county, Zixing city and Suxian district were with decreasing rates of 16.07%, 13.40%, 13.37% and 12.05% separately, while Anren, Guidong, and Linwu county were with respective increasing rate of 11.28%, 6.69% and 6.53%.

Though there were some achievements reached in Chenzhou city, it was still under tough situation for Chenzhou city’s further industrial economy transformation and upgrading and energy saving.

It was learned that high energy consumption enterprises were with high rate. The six high energy-consuming enterprises were accounted for 50%, which was 20% higher than Hunan provincial annual level. Especially for the smelting enterprises which make the environment protection under high pressure.

The growth rate was affected greatly by macroeconomic condition

Though Chenzhou city kept increasing on scale industries, it was still affected by the downturn of macro economy. According to relative analysis reports issued by Chenzhou Economy and Information Commission that in the first half year, the scale industries were kept decreasing, though the increasing rate was achieved better in this September, it was still far from the annual task of 15.5% set in the beginning of this year.

It was still shown on the reports that currently the domestic economic condition was recovering gradually on the basis of positive economic factors of international economic condition. It is the golden season for industrial production next stage, so further progresses are expected to be reached by Chenzhou city.
