It was reported that the promotion conference for forth phase of Chenzhou urban area’s “greening project” was held on November 11, 2013. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City issued the mobilization order to all the departments to launch the fourth phase of the project rapidly.

With the earlier three years efforts on “greening project”, Chenzhou city’s urban area has been covered with 2851 hectares of greening areas. In order to upgrade the level of landscaping in Chenzhou urban area, fourth phase of urban area’s “greening project” activity proposed by Chenzhou municipal party committee and Chenzhou government. It was planned to be handled out from this October to next October. According to the solution figured out for the fourth phase project, balance attention would be placed on the construction and management to handle a fine management on the ready gardens; ten projects as channels greening project, etc. and some cultural activities would be carried out during that period.

Qu stated on the conference that the “greening project” should be promoted on a higher starting point. Some problems as lower level landscaping level, unbalanced distribution of parks, old landscaping concept, and etc. were still hindered on the way of the promotion of greening project. All the departments should keep promoting the project to grant people with better ecological greening condition.

Qu required that updated concept should be followed to promote the city’s ecological construction. First, the concept of city garden ecology should be established to provide the people with greening living condition and place more attention on the ecological profit. Second, city garden ecological system should be formed with more emphasis on the plants’ natural and ecological features. Third, more characteristics for city garden ecology should be highlighted on the construction work, especially the cultural characteristic.
Qu also emphasized that higher standards should be followed to upgrade the landscapes construction in urban areas. First, high level design should be figured out firstly.

Second, high level construction should be implemented on the basis of the high level design. Third, fine management should be carried out to ensure the management level of the projects.
