It was reported that 18,100mu tobacco was planted in Suxian district in 2013, 10,000mu more compared in 2012. 31150 loads were purchased accordingly, up 33.84%. The total tobacco tax hit 8.375 million yuan with an increase of 60.17%. Total output and farmers’ net profit hit 41.63 million yuan and 20 million yuan separately. All those achievements greatly encouraged Suxian district to place much more investment on this industry to grant it with better condition. It was learned that more than 56.30 million yuan were issued by Suxian District Government on the tobacco industry in 2013.

There is an old saying: “good nest waits for golden Phoenix.” Suxian district sincerely followed this saying to figure out relative policies to mobilize the activeness of tobacco farmers. It was reported that 2014 tobacco production punishment and reward solution was released earlier in this September. According to the solution, Wulipai ten thousand mu modern tobacco demonstration base would be one of the key works for 2014.

Till now, 22,620mu fields have been transferred for tobacco production, 3020mu of which have been ploughed yet. 326 tobacco farmers have registered to handle the production issues. All of those granted 2014 tobacco production with a nice beginning.
