Xiang Lili emphasized the point above on his investigation trip of modern service industry

It was reported that Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee investigated the development of modern service industry on November 21, 2013. It was purposely to promote the transformation development of Chenzhou city by improving the development of modern service industry. Xiang required that all the departments should pay much more attention on modern service industry, figure out the scientific planning and intensify more efforts to accelerate the construction of modern service system and promote the economical structure adjustment of Chenzhou city, especially to contribute more power on Chenzhou city’s take-off.

In recent years, both amount and quality of Chenzhou city’s modern service industry were improved greatly. According to the statistic, total added value of service industry hit 48.13 billion yuan in Chenzhou city, covering 31.7% of GDP of 2012. 1.154 million people took part in the service industry. The tax payment of service industry was account for 14.82% of the total financial revenue of Chenzhou city. Though some achievements reached in the service industry of Chenzhou city, many problems as lacking of attention, old concept, poor measures, small scale, low proportion, poor structure and quality, poor competitiveness, etc. were still hindered on the way of its further development.

Xiang Lili and his investigation team visited Hongguang Logistics, Sun City Health Community, Railway and Sea Combined Transportation, BBK urban complex and some other modern service projects and checked their progress accordingly. Xiang asked that further optimization of development condition and accelerated construction speed should be handled out for the projects to promote the projects smoothly.

After listening to the speeches presented by relative projects principals in the symposium held afterward, Xiang stated that development of modern service industry was concerned for the economic structural adjustment and industrial restructuring and upgrading of Chenzhou city. Compared with city, transportation, and industrial construction, overall development of urban and rural areas and some other aspects, modern service industry was with less improvement in recent years. So, next step, much more attention should be focused on the modern service industry as an essential strategy for Chenzhou city’s economic and social development.

Xiang also emphasized that all departments should unify the awareness for the significance of further improvement of modern service industry to establish a modern service industry system rapidly. Some scientific planning should be worked out with high standard by combining with the targets of well-off society. More favorable policies should be applied to its development as well. Key points should be highlighted on the process of development with optimized structure. Enhanced leadership should be handled to intensify the cooperation among departments with best utilization of policy resources. Reinforced assessment should be carried out as well to promote the development of modern service industry.
