The estimated operating amount would hit 220 million yuan for these farmers professional cooperatives

It was learned that Haoyoujing Orange Professional Cooperative was established as a Hunan provincial demonstration well-being project successfully recently. It was estimated to be granted with 0.5 million yuan special support fund with this achievement. He Xiqing- Director of this cooperative said to the reporters that more than 100 members have been enrolled into the cooperative from its establishment in 2009 and its products were sold to more than 10 provinces of China. More than 5 million kilo grams oranges were sold out in this year, which helped to increase the per capita income of over 2000yuan.

In recent years, Zixing government paid much attention on the promotion of farmers’professional cooperative to guide farmers develop their cooperatives with some local advantageous industries. At the meantime, more propaganda of the laws and policies of construction of cooperatives were handled by the government with different ways to make more farmers aware of the cooperative issues. Some training courses, symposiums and relative activities were held to upgrade their business quality and enhance the guidance and management, which helped to improve it to be operated with better level.

A “selection program of Zixing city’s demonstration cooperative of farmers’ professional cooperatives” was issued by Zixing government with specified standards. Followed with this kind of activity, some cooperatives successfully won national demonstration cooperative title and Hunan provincial titles separately, which greatly upgrade their further development.

Furthermore, special funds and series favorable policies were placed by Zixing government to improve the development of professional cooperatives. It was reported that the annual budget on the cooperatives was about 0.6 million yuan, which was increased to one million yuan in 2013.

Under such favorable development condition, Zixing city’s professional farmers’ cooperatives were improved greatly. Till the end of this October, 173 cooperatives have been registered in Zixing city with more them 7000 members. The estimated total operating amount of the cooperatives would be reached 220million. Farmers’ professional cooperatives play a more and more important role in the promotion of agricultural development.
