It was learned from Chenzhou Municipal Finance Bureau that 2 million yuan more has been deployed to the third and forth batches units which fulfilled the demolition of coal-fired boiler and furnaces before deadline. Once all the units past final approval in next May, the funds would be subsidized to the units accordingly. All coal-fired boiler and furnaces would be abandoned in Chenzhou urban area by then.

The special action for abandoning coal-fired boiler and furnaces in Chenzhou urban area was carried out from July, 2011. No new coal-fired facility was available in Chenzhou urban area from October 9, 2011. All new heating facilities should be fired with clean energy.

In order to upgrade the activeness of the units to take actions on abandoning old facilities and using new ones, some favorable policies and subsidies were issued to the units which finished the transformation work successfully. In 2012 and first half year of 2013, 1.536 million yuan special subsidies have been issued to 28 units of the first and second batches which fulfilled the demolition of coal-fired boiler and furnaces.

Till now, 51 units of the first and second batches have finished all relative work. 19 ones of the third batch’s 66 units has demolished coal-fired boilers, 32 ones stopped using it, and 2 ones were under rectification. 51 units of the forth batch were working on the preliminary work to demolish the coal-fired boilers and furnaces.
