It was reported that a scheduling conference on regulation of rural housing management was held in Yao minority village of Zixing city on December 4, 2013. It was purposely to share ideas and experience on the rural housing management and arrange the work of next stage. Liu Hesheng- Deputy Mayor of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee attended the conference.
Due to the coal mining, Yao minority village faced the problem of geological subsidence. Followed with a unified planning, all the villagers moved to a new place together. Currently, the first phase of the project has been finished and helped 272 families to settle down in new houses. It was estimated to finish the second phase in the end of this year, and then more 99 families can move to new houses. Considering Yao minority people’s special custom and culture, the new village was established to keep them accordingly at the first step. Furthermore, some training courses were held to help the villagers find new jobs.
Liu Hesheng considered that the overall development of urban and rural areas of 2013 was promoted well with the unified understanding, clear idea and specified working mechanism. So the work of 2014 should be followed this sound improvement and upgraded better. Liu stated that enhanced propaganda for the regulation of rural housing should be carried out in 2014 to make people more aware of relative policies. Some more work concerned for planning, organization, policies, people’s participation, training, etc. should be promoted accordingly to ensure all people would benefit from its development.
