When reporters arrived at Quanxi village, Datang town of Chenzhou city, villagers were studying nursery training courses by distance education. One of the officers of Datang town- Dai Nengcai said gladly to the reporters that distance education played a very important role in upgrading the seedling cultivation technology, increasing villagers’ income and solving idle labor forces.
In recent years, different party member education demonstration areas on tea plantation, seedling cultivation, vegetable plantation, etc. were established in some rural economic cooperatives. Many special training courses were arranged to improve local people’s scientific knowledge and skills.
It was introduced that over 8000 members of the 90 rural economic cooperatives were benefited from the distance education on plantation technologies, favorable policies, marketing information, etc. The total sales amount of cooperatives hit 99.89 million yuan with an increase of 228% compared with 2012.
