The gross value was kept second place of Hunan province and processing trade value was ranked the first place of Hunan province

According to the customs statistics, from this January to November, the total foreign trade import and export value hit $ 3.25 billion in Chenzhou city with an increase of 60.2%. The gross value was kept second place of Hunan province. Both the quotes of total value and increasing rate were higher than Hunan provincial average level.

Generally speaking, the overall trade situation is good in Chenzhou city with the steady growth. Especially for the rapid development of processing trade, it was amounted to $2.43 billion with an increase of 74%, ranking first place of Hunan province. $1.17 billion were contributed by Chenzhou Export Processing Zone which played a best role on supporting undertaking industrial transfer and handling favorable processing trade policies.

According to the data, some key foreign trade partners took large portion for the total amount of the trade. South Africa and Peru were the two major import source, covering 71% of total imports value of Chenzhou city. The major export destination was Hong Kong with an amount of $1.46 billiong, accounting for 84% of total export value of Chenzhou city.

Private enterprises still played the key role on the foreign trade business. The total import and export value of the private enterprises hit $3.05 billion from this January to November with an increase of 59.8$, accounting for 93.8% of Chenzhou city’s total amount. The key reason for the private enterprises rapid development was that Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Chenzhou Government kept paying great attention on the development of non-public economy and helped to cultivate series private enterprises in Chenzhou city in recent years.
