It was learned that two big industrialized seedling production workshops in Matouling and Wulipai of Suxian district were placed into operation. When reporters arrived at one of the workshops in Matouling, the two seedling lines were being operated by the workers with the preset programs as planting, covering, watering, and others. Dozens of workers were placing the seedling trays in the floating nursery pond once the trays were taken off from the production lines.

It was introduced by Shou Dilong- Chief of Xifengdu Tobacco Station and principal of the production lines that both Matouling and Wulipai workshops were placed to operate the seedling issues from December 14 to 20, 2013. They were capable to provide top quality tobacco seedlings for 22,000mu tobacco fields of Suxian district. According to the time schedule, all of those would be distributed to the tobacco farmers next late February.

It was learned that unified tobacco seedling supply was handled out by Suxian district from the nominated industrialized seedling production workshops. Compared with traditional seedling method, a floating seedling technology was applied by the workshops, which is good for saving workforce and lands, more convenient for management and helpful for increasing the seedling rate. Tobacco farmers were benefited from this new technology and management with more income.
