The construction party promised to arrange the construction schedule reasonably and not to disturb people’s daily life

Though it was very cold recently in Chenzhou city, the workers of the upgrading project of overpass of Renmin road east were still working hard on it. This upgrading project was mainly for the reinforcement and widening of the overpass.

This 26-year old overpass was founded in 1987 which is a traffic artery for Chenzhou urban area’s east-west transportation. According to the detection and evaluation, some potential risks were for the overpass, which would be threatened to the security of Jingguang railway and urban transportation. In order to eliminate the security risks and solve the narrow-throat issue of Renmin road east, Chenzhou City Management and Administration Bureau launched the upgrading project of the overpass in the early of this October. It was learned that a 6.5-meter wide pavement and non-motor vehicle lane would be added on the part across the railway and rest part would be kept the same width but demolish the 1.75-meter wide pavement to expand the vehicle lane. It was estimated to be with 46 million yuan budget investment and to be finished before next end of December. Once finished, a new and more convenient overpass would be facilitated to all Chenzhou people.

It was introduced by Chen Senlin- coordinate principal of the project headquarter that the removal work of pipelines, other facilities and some temporary and illegal buildings have been finished and they were working on pile foundation construction now. Due to the complex geological structure and large quantity of underground karst caves, every pile foundation must be completed at one time to prevent the collapse, so they have to keep working without stop. There were 15 piles for this project, 8 of which have been finished yet. If everything goes well, all pile foundation construction work would be finished before 2014 Chinese Spring Festival.

Because of some special reasons that the project is across Jingguang railway and with complex geological structure, people who lived near the project site were suffered from the noise. The construction headquarters expressed their sorry to people near their and asked the construction sites to arrange the time schedule reasonably without affecting the construction progress and without disturbing people’s daily life.
