A working conference for overall acceleration of new industrialization and construction of industrial park

It was reported that a leading group working conference for overall acceleration of new industrialization and construction of industrial park was held on December 24, 2013 in Chenzhou city. 2014 development idea was figured out on the conference that Chenzhou city’s scale industrial added value should be over one hundred billion yuan and total industrial volume and increasing rate should keep the top three places in Hunan province. Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee emphasized on the conference that the increasing for new industrialization of 2013 should keep the fourth place and fight for third place in Hunan province, but 2014 should keep staying in the first phalanx of Hunan province. 

It was learned from the conference that industrial economy became a powerful driving force for Chenzhou city’s economic increase. In the first three quarters, Chenzhou city ranked the fourth place on the assessment of Hunan province’s acceleration of new industrialization. From January to November, the total scale industrial added value of Chenzhou city hit 82.96 billion yuan with an increase of 12.5% which was 2.8% higher than national average level. A balanced and fast development was reached on the structural adjustment and transformation of industrial park’s economy. It was the main source for Chenzhou city’s economic increase and the major driving force for the industrial growth as well. From January to October, the total technical industry and trade income was amounted to 158.9 billion yuan, up 37.6%.

Liu Hesheng highly affirmed Chenzhou city’s achievements on new industrialization development and industrial park’s construction. “New industrialization is the first driving force for Chenzhou city’s ‘take-off’ and d industrial park’s construction is the most important platform and support for Chenzhou city’s economic development.” emphasized by Liu. He also required that unified idea and specified target should be figured out by all departments to carry out 2014 work; more efforts should be placed on the key points as projects, transformation, innovation, expansion of industrial park, investment attraction, environment, etc.; more enhanced leadership scheduling and assessment should be implemented well to make sure all work concerned for acceleration of new industrialization and industrial park’s construction to be carried out well.

Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city were present at the conference and some principals of the relative departments and units attended the conference as well.
