It was reported that a groundbreaking ceremony for technological transformation of Chenzhou Cured Tobacco Factory, Hunan Cured Tobacco Co., Ltd. was held on February 20, 2014. Liu Hesheng- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee was present at the ceremony and delivered an important speech there.

This technological transformation project is one of the Hunan provincial “twelfth five-year” key projects, covering 518mu land and 161,186 square meters construction land. 981 million yuan would be placed on the 2 12000kg/h production lines which were designed to be with the capacity to handle 1.20 million loads processing. The main construction items for this project were workshops, comprehensive buildings, warehouses, boiler plants, service center, etc. Once finished, its estimated output value would hit 230 million yuan with over million yuan tax payments and 1000 job vacancies.

Liu required that more efforts should be tried on the transformation and upgrading of economic structure and improvement of economy with adjustment of structure. Liu also expressed his willing and encouragement on relative departments to fight their best to meet the time schedule.

Li Mindeng- Vice General Manager of Hunan Tobacco Monopoly Bureau (Company) and Director of Hunan Cured Tobacco Co., Ltd. confirmed that enhanced construction work would be carried out by the company to finish the project earlier and place it into operation sooner.

Some municipal leaders of Chenzhou city attended some activities.
