129.7 billion yuan annual investment was estimated to be placed on the projects

A working conference for reform and development, price, statistic and major projects was held in Chenzhou city recently. It was learned that 941 major projects concerned for industrial development, infrastructure construction, energy saving and environmental protection, well-being, social development and other aspects were arranged preliminarily in 2014, covering 129.7 billion yuan annual investment.

According to the arrangement, more attention was focused on the direction, quality and benefit of investment, so more investment would be highlighted on strategic, efficient and industrial projects. At the meantime, further optimization for investment structure would be carried out in Chenzhou city to fight for meeting the target of 188.68 billion yuan on fixed asset investment with an increase of 28%.

Concerning for the 941 major projects, 376 of which were new ones and 565 were continuous construction ones. 335 ones were for industrial development with planned investment of 47.1 billion yuan. 229 ones were for infrastructure facility projects with planned investment of 32.2 billion yuan. 79 ones were for energy saving and environmental protection projects with planned investment of 9.9 billion yuan. 298 ones were for well-being and social development with planned investment of 40.5 billion yuan.

It was emphasized on the conference that better preliminary preparation work should be handled out well for all the major projects to ensure that all can be launched as earlier as they can. At the meantime, more efforts should be tried on the perfection of communication system and scheduling system for the major projects, overall work for projects construction, promotion of assessment system, settlement for some narrow-neck issues as capitals, land, removal, employment, etc. and some other aspects.

Li Ping- Member of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee Standing Committee and Deputy Major of Chenzhou City stated on the conference that enhanced work on promotion of industrial transformation, modern service industry and deepening reform should be handled out by all departments. At the meantime, all departments should carefully study the policies to obtain more capitals from upper level government with more projects application to grant the projects with good capital support condition.
