It was learned from working conference for Chenzhou city’s tea industry that Chenzhou city planned to promote tea industry as a modern agriculture industry, ecology industry, green industry, and prosperous industry by promoting series high level projects construction of tea parks, processing enterprises, tea brands and tea trading centers.

As one of Chenzhou city’s special and advantageous industries, tea industry was promoted well in the counties and districts of Chenzhou city in recent years. Guidong Linglongwang tea, Zixing Gounaogong tea and some other ones were upgraded as famous tea brands of Chenzhou city. The total tea production volume hit 5664tons in 2013, amounting to 425million yuan.

It was stated on the conference that 50,000mu new tea gardens would be expanded in Chenzhou city to promote its production volume to be 6000tons in 2014. According to the plan, 400,000mu high level tea parks should be constructed in Chenzhou city till 2020, 3-5 of which would be national standard ones and 1-2 of which would be 10,000mu or above level ones. At the meantime, a high level nationwide famous tea brand would be formed in Chenzhou city as well to expand the fame and market share of Chenzhou brand’s tea.

“Suggestion on accelerating the development of tea industry”was issued by Chenzhou Government at the same time. It was planned to build a high level green tea belt of Zixing- Rucheng-Guidong- Anren and high level black tea belt of Yizhang-Rucheng-Guidong on the basis of practical tea industry development condition and resource advantages.
