It was reported that an on-site conference for promotion of upgrading of Chenzhou city & demolition work was held in Chenzhou city recently. Xiang Lili- Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee emphasized on the conference that city consciousness should be enhanced to promote the upgrading of Chenzhou city with higher level, faster speed and better effects. Qu Hai- Deputy Secretary of Chenzhou Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Chenzhou City hosted the conference.

Before holding the conference, all the attendants visited some demolition sites in Suxian and Beihu district.

Xiang said enhanced city consciousness should be placed on promoting the upgrading of Chenzhou city. Some development rules and trends should be grasped by learning more details of the city with heart. All citizens should be encouraged to join in the construction, management and improvement work of Chenzhou city. More perfect mechanisms on construction and management should be figured out. More improvement results should be placed to improve people's living condition.

Xiang stated five "upgradings" on further promotion of the upgrading of Chenzhou city. They were: upgrading of standards, upgrading of speed, upgrading of level, upgrading of effect, and upgrading of construction spirit. Concerned for upgrading of standards, more attention should be placed on improvement of decoration, organization, standardization, internationalization and modernization. Concerned for upgrading of speed, some work on demolition and acquisition should be promoted with more efforts to ensure their fulfillments on time. Concerned for the upgrading of level, it was especially for the upgrading of construction and management level. Concerned for the upgrading of effect, it should focus on the fundamental improvement of the city's environment condition with more efforts on promotion of construction management. Concerned for the upgrading of spirit, the leaders who were in charge do specified projects should try their best to work together with all relative departments and encourage people to join in the promotion of upgrading of Chenzhou city.

Xiang pointed out that supports on the upgrading work should be enhanced by relative departments, Sub-districts, communities, and village groups.

Qu Hai said the key point concerned for the promotion of upgrading of Chenzhou city and demolition work was the implementation. Concerned for the sound implementation work, all should be focused on the specified targets with sound management and renovation work; should be followed with specified laws; and should be operated under sunshine with specified awards and punishments. At the meantime, all relative departments should work together to handle some joint actions to promote the work, especially for the leaders. More attention should be placed on the propaganda to encourage more citizens to work together with the government to promote the upgrading work.
