It was learned from Rucheng Water Conservancy Bureau that over 30million yuan would be placed on a large scale water supply project, which would benefit over 65,900 people of Rucheng county. It was the largest II-class centralized water supply project of the county currently.

The project was located in Daping town. Once finished, 59,621people from 26 administrative villages, 3 schools, 2 town areas and one industrial zone of Daping town, Quanshui town, Luyang town, Tuqiao town would benefit from it. 52,154 people who suffered from unsafe drinking water problem would be supplied with safe water afterward. It was introduced that the scale for this new project was 7000m3/d which was one of the integration projects of water supply in urban and rural areas and the largest II-class centralized water supply project of the county currently.

As a typical mountainous county, Rucheng county carried out many safe drinking water projects in recent years to solve the drinking water problems of local people. But along with the rapid development of society and economy, some towns and villages were still facilitated with poor water facilities and suffered from poor drinking water condition, which affected people’s daily life greatly. In order to solve the problems, Rucheng county submitted this new water supply project with over 30.856million yuan investment to upper level government by handling together with the educational practices of the Party’s mass line. Once finished, local people’s drinking water condition would be improved greatly.

The capitals of this project were collected from central government, regional government, society and people, which would be mainly placed on water intake project, water conveyance project, water purification project, and water distribution project. Once finished, 65,900 people from 4 towns, 26 administrative villages, 3 schools, 2 town areas and 1 industrial zone would be provided with high-level drinking water. Furthermore, it can provide the water for 6500mu fields’ irrigation work and can upgrade flood control capacity of downstream river channels to protect over 3500mu fields and 106 national highway. Apparently, this project was with the comprehensive benefits of water supply, drought control, flood control, and etc.

It was introduced that Rucheng Water Investment Co., Ltd. was the project entity. Till now, the preliminary work has been finished and was on the process of project bidding, which would be proceed to construction schedule soon.
