2013 State of Chenzhou City’s Environment Releases to Public

Chenzhou city’s environment condition was kept to be stable

 

It was reported that a press conference was held by Chenzhou government on June 5- “World Environment Day”. Chenzhou Environmental Protection Bureau released the report for 2013 state of Chenzhou city’s environment. According to the report, Chenzhou city’s state of water environment, atmospheric environment, acoustic environment and some other points were kept to be stable in 2013.

 

Water environment: it was kept with sound condition

As introduced by Li Laihua- Director of Chenzhou Environmental Protection Bureau that 43 monitoring sections of the 47 selected ones from Leishui river, Chonglingjiang river, Yonglejiang river, Wushui river and some other comprehensive drinking water supply places were qualified to reach the requirements of functional division of water areas. It was a qualified rate of 91.5% which was the same as 2012. Generally speaking, Chenzhou city’s water environment was kept with sound condition. Only some areas of Chonglingjiang river was with poor V-class water quality.

 

There are 11 drinking water sources available in Chenzhou city. Small Dongjiang river, Longhudong water conservancy and Changhe water conservancy were qualified with I-class water standards, while Shanhe water conservancy, Xiaojiashan water conservancy, Fangyuan water conservancy, Pangjiang water conservancy, Sayuan water conservancy, Chengguan Songsan viallge, and Yongxing dam were qualified with II-class water standards. Concerned for Huangchen water conservancy, except the total volume of phosphorus was just in III-class level, rest indexes met the II-class well.

 

Li stated that the key pollution of surface water of Chenzhou city was ammonia nitrogen and organic pollutants, urban sewage, and agriculture industrial wastewater. Heavy metal pollution was an outstanding problem for the area knee on mine industry.

 

Atmospheric environment: most of the counties and districts of Chenzhou were with sound atmospheric environment condition

According to the inspection data collected from Chenzhou A Environmental Protection Bureau that Yizhang county, Anren county, Rucheng county and Guidong county were with first class (excellent) atmospheric condition, Chenzhou central area (including Suxian district and Beihu district) and Yongxing county were with third class and other counties and cities were with second class (good).

 

The concentration range for annual values of dust-fall was from 2.16-8.60tons/square km/month for Chenzhou central area, Guiyang county, Yizhang county, Yongxing county, Jiahe county and Linwu county with an average rate of 5.90tons/square km/month which was 0.55tons/square km/month more than 2012. The highest level and lowest level range were for Chenzhou central area and Linwu county respectively.

 

Furthermore, according to the data collected by the three automatic monitoring stations of air set in Xinglong walking street, Chenzhou Vocational Institute and Chenzhou Municipal Audit Bureau that the total days for first class, second class and third class atmospheric condition were 45days, 264days and 56days separately, covering 12.3%, 72.4% and 15.3% of the 365days of one year. On this point, the good rate of Chenzhou city’s atmospheric condition was about 84.9%.

 

Acoustic environment: traffic noise of roads met national 4A standards

According to the monitoring of traffic noise of roads in the counties and districts of Chenzhou city, the average equivalent sound level of traffic noise of roads during daytime was from 61.8 to 69.7 decibel with an average rate of 67.2 decibel, which well met the 4A standards of “China’s acoustic environment quality standards”. It indicated that Chenzhou city was with a sound traffic acoustic environment condition.

 

According to the monitoring regional noise of counties and districts of Chenzhou city, the average equivalent sound level of regional noise during daytime was from 41.3 to 55.7 decibel with an average rate of 51.5 decibel, which well met the I-class standards.

 

Industrial solid wastes: it was with a decrease of 8.39% compared with 2012

The total volume of industrial solid wastes of Chenzhou city in 2013 was over 16.10million tons which was 1.47million tons less than 2012 with a decrease of 8.39%. The volume of comprehensive utilization of industrial solid wastes was 8.02million tons which was 1.01million tons less than 2012 with a decrease of 11.24%.
